Haunted Magazine interview exclusive with Alt. model Laura von Blum

Name: Laura aka Laura von Blum

Age: 25

Hometown: Barcelona

Profession: Hairdresser, makeup artist and alternative model.

Favourite past time: Watching horror movies.

For how long have you been a horror fan: Since childhood, I've always loved stories and movies about horror and the paranormal.

Favourite horror film: “One missed call”  the director being Takashi Miike, a personal favourite of mine.

Favourite horror novel: “Dead sea” by Brian Keene, although it is very difficult to choose only one. I love classic horror, like “Frankenstein” by Mary W. Shelley.

Favourite supernatural creature and why?: I like Frankenstein's monster. It's a horror classic! I find it  amazing that so many movies have been made and based on him. The thing that I love the most is the story and how it captures the many points of view, i.e. that of the populace, the doctor, and the creature. I find the film's message important as it highlights social prejudice within our society. A person can create life from death, with pieces of other people's body, like a puzzle. The pressure of the populace to destroy the creature, just because he is perceived as different and labelled a monster.

Zombies or did I mean tidal wave?

World War Z:
A U.N. employee is racing against time and fate, as he travels the world trying to stop the outbreak of a deadly Zombie pandemic.
Well yes, the movie description is brief however, when the word zombie catches my eye, I can't help but get tingles down my spine and a sort of excitement I can only describe as the same feeling schoolgirl's get when discussing boys. Of course I'm not saying I have some strange crush on zombies (I'm sure there's some law against that) and that I pretend to know what the disscussion revolving around "boys" entails, but what I do know is, I enjoy a good zombie horror with Dawn of the Dead and of course, Resident Evil being in my top 2. Where the movie description is lacking in substance, the official trailer defiantly makes Up for it. The trailer begins by revealing the U.N. employee as none other than Brad Pitt, (yes that's right ladies, Brad Pitt) stuck in a traffic jam with his family. From the off you can tell this is no ordinary traffic jam as a helicopter flys over. A helicopter flying past always signals trouble, why is this? Every time I now see a helicopter flying above I predict and proceed to shout, a zombie apocalypse is nigh, at the expense of my sanity to all those around. Anyhow, to get back on track, the trailer then shows mass panic as everyone seems to be running away from an explosion, with all sense of order lost when the arthoritative figure, in this case the motorcycle cop, gets taken out with the trash, literally. We then get a sneak peak at the zombies and they look like a giant tidal wave of infection.
The best description I can come up with, is it's like the movement of a horde of insects from starship troopers, (I had to get that comparison in there). On a serious note, World War Z looks action packed and full of suspense, what more could you ask for? It's set for a summer 2013 release. A must watch for fans of both horror and of course zombies!!
